X1 Technologies Appoints George B. Holmes as Vice President of Sales


PASADENA, CA – October 31, 2005X1 Technologies, an award-winning leader in desktop and enterprise search solutions, announced today that George B. Holmes has been appointed to the position of vice president of sales. With more than 20 years of sales leadership experience, Holmes has an extensive background in building enterprise sales organizations ranging from early stage to multi-billion dollar corporations. Holmes will be responsible for setting the company's sales and business development strategies and for expanding X1's sales organization. Holmes will report to Josh Jacobs, president of X1 Technologies.

Prior to joining X1 Technologies, Holmes was a management consultant focused on the publishing and private equity markets, identifying key market and customer trends that allowed his customers to grow in some cases, 35% annually. Previously, Holmes served as VP, North America for Agere Systems where he was tasked with re-building the North American sales team and developing the company's national channel strategy. Holmes has also held the positions of VP of worldwide sales for Ortel Corporation, where as part of the leadership team he was instrumental in rebuilding the company and selling it to Lucent Technologies (now Agere Systems), VP of worldwide sales for Level One Communications and VP of business development for Symmetricomm.

Holmes holds a Bachelors in Business from the University of Puget Sound and a diploma in International Business from The Netherlands Graduate School of Business.
